THE PROCESS
Every trip is unique. Once I know the “who, what, where, when, and why” for yours, our travel planning collaboration will be efficient, effective, and fun!
THE BASICS
-
In person, by phone, and through email, I learn about your travel ideas and the particulars that matter most to you.
YOUR PEEK BEHIND THE CURTAIN
-
I describe in detail how I plan to serve your personal travel needs.
-
My process is different for every client, whether oenophiles exploring Chile’s wine culture, a family interested in animals of the Galapagos, a garden club to see tulips in Amsterdam, sports fans on a stadium tour...or you.
-
My work with clients is in four areas. Together, we determine which is right for you.
-
I work with clients to create private trips for them (and friends / family). Example: a multi-generational family of nine wanted a week’s itinerary in Alaska: hotels, internal transport, guides, special activities, some combination thereof, etc. These are always created specifically to meet the client’s priorities, travel interests, and budget.
-
I work with clients to source and arrange pre-existing small group itineraries (e.g., with Backroads, National Geographic, A&K, etc.) when that seems like the best answer for a client's needs. Then I am the liaison with the entity running the trip and help my clients with all arrangements and details. Example: three sisters of Scottish descent wanted a small group trip to Scotland. These trips are always vetted for quality and are chosen to meet, as best I can, the client’s priorities, travel interests, and budget.
-
I create itineraries for small group trips hosted or led by me, including what I most want to show people / do / see in a location, and then I market these itineraries to clients and to anyone else in my network. These are for clients who want to travel with others (and me). All of these itineraries focus on culture (food, history, art, music) and nature (outdoor activities), and they vary in emphasis depending on the location. Example: in 2023, I brought small groups to Iceland, Cuba, California, and Peru.
-
I can also work with clients on a one-off basis, when requests are not necessarily for a larger / fuller itinerary. Example: a client asked me to arrange flights, airport transfers, and a hotel for a fishing trip for four to Cabo (he had already booked the fishing part).
THE COSTS
-
I always communicate extensively with clients to ensure I know what they want and to provide the best service. My fee structure (how I get paid) varies, depending on what I am doing. Every trip is handled differently, but always excellently, of course! I am happy to explain more.
THE FINISH LNE
-

Before, during, and after travel, your satisfaction is my goal.

I recommend you speak with the insurance providers or your preferred insurance professional. In addition, please carefully consider your health before making travel plans.
